Kiki was in town. Really that's all Peter had to say on the matter. Kiki was in town...Kiki was a very sweet girl and Pete had nothing against her. She was just boisterous. Very boisterous. Much more boisterous than Pete and Lena normally lived their lives. But he appreciated that Lena needed to spend time with people who weren't him, so he was trying to be supportive and appreciative. He just wished she'd called so he could have had at least a day to prepare himself.
It was only Monday and he was already trying to arrange to work late every possible night that he could, or get out of the house. He was grateful when Cole accepted his invite, and he had told himself he'd buy as many rounds as it took to show said appreciation.
He finished up at work and sent a text message to his wife to let her know he was going out and didn't even bother stopping by the apartment on his way out. The drunker he was for Kiki-Gate 2010, the better.
He rushed down the stairs to the lobby and smiled when he saw Cole, "Hey man," he said holding his hand out for a friendly handshake, "You saved me," he added giving him a good-natured grin.
