"I wanted to be a writer at one point, before I realized that just writing books alone wasn't exactly a career. Oh, and - don't laugh - but I wanted to be a stage actor too. Other than that... teaching just felt right."

Cole laughed. "Well, at least you already have a second language. I can barely speak French, never mind anything else. But what about you, job-wise? What is it you see yourself doing?"
