Frustrated and feeling guilty for lying in the first place, Rosalie buried her head in her arms once again. Eventually, she found a phone and called a car service instead of a taxi, instructing them to send a bill to her since she had been left with no cash. Then she called the gate to get clearance. She cleaned the coffee up so that Kat wouldn't get to it, and she waited unhappily on the couch for the car to come, still wrapped up tightly in her blanket, like it was some sort of barrier for everything. Not a very good one though, because she felt terrible and it wasn't going away.
The kitten came back and jumped up on her lap, and Rosalie petted it softly until it grew bored once again and wandered off in search of something newer. When she heard the car pull up, Rosalie retrieved her coat and shoes from the room she had slept in and folded her blanket neatly on the end of the bed. She paused at Daniel's door before leaving, tapping lightly and saying a soft goodbye that was just audible enough to filter through the wood into his room. Without waiting to see if he would respond, she turned back down the hallway, slipping out the front door without another word.
