Boyd knew as soon as Rosalie came close that Daniel was going to react badly. She'd been expecting a negative reaction from him just based on her hug alone, and she didn't know what Rosalie was thinking with the back rubbing. But maybe that was normal for them, she hadn't ever been around them alone, and she didn't really know.
She stepped away, let him shout and throw the papers, then she calmly unwound her scarf and tossed it at the kitten before sighing and following him into the kitchen.
She leaned in the door, and she looked at him. "Sugar, want me to go wait in one of the rooms?" she asked, not sure that having her and Rosalie there at the same time wasn't going to be too much for him to handle. She asked it softly, looked at him openly, if tired. "I know she ain't acting normal," she added, softer. "But you gotta get back on your feet, if you're gonna beat her at this game she's playing, don't you see?"
