She asked Micah to leave the room, and Micah slid off the counter. He gave Robert a reassuring look. "I'll be in the waiting room," he said, meaning it. He wasn't going to leave Robert here, which was a strange thing to think about someone he just met. The kid needed him, he realized, wondering how old Robert was for the first time.
