Of course she would want to do shots. Helena’s hand was already hovering towards the wine when Kiki made her decision, so she grabbed the half empty bottle of Stoli and set it on the counter. They didn’t normally have hard liquor on hand but they still had a bottle left over from the last time they had poker night. And if it wasn’t quite up to Kiki’s par, well, she was ordering her own bottles anyway. Lena was just glad to be finishing this one. She reached into another cupboard and pressed two shot glasses together with her finger, setting them down next to the bottle. The question made her stiffen, not quite ready to spill the beans, particularly not to the blonde. But thankfully she was offered and out.
“Definitely showing off,” she laughed. She poured two nearly perfect ounces effortlessly, a feat that most people would be shocked to see her pull off. It would seem she didn’t escape her friendship with Kiki completely untarnished. “Just haven’t been feeling like a very good Catholic, is all. Thought I might go the extra few miles and see how that works out for me.” She delicately picked up a glass and offered it up to her friend. “And what shall we be drinking to first?”
