Where: 501
When: The afternoon after James calls Rick.
Warnings: Daisy + caffeine. 'Nuff said.
Daisy didn't need to be asked twice. She waited the requisite twenty-four hours, and spent the morning prepping for her coffee date like it was a job interview. Hair up or down? Jeans or skirt? Boots or flats? Finally, she settled on something that seemed casually cute or cute-ly casual: corduroys and a zippered cardigan, small earrings and a little gold necklace.
Once dressed, she was faced with another conundrum: what to do for the next hour or so until she stopped by 501? For a bit, she paced her apartment and dusted her plants. They were growing with cheerful enthusiasm, Daisy thought, considering most were fighting for space at the single sunny window in her apartment. The effect was rather exotic, too: from noon until after five, sunlight streamed through the small patches between leaves, dappling the floor and casting a gentle greenish hue around the living room.
That chore finished, Daisy pretended to read (the newest Stephen King, purchased after meeting Cole) before finally giving up and declaring 'uncle'. She fetched the box of cupcakes from the fridge -- who doesn't love buttercream?! -- and left her apartment, locking the door behind her. Nervous, but grinning, Daisy approached 501 and knocked, bouncing a little on her heels.
