A few notes before applying:

1. Please fill out the application and send it in an e-mail, or send us a link to the app in your character journal. Applications should be sent to: letalebellum@gmail.com.

2. Please make sure you have read the rules, FAQ, and checked to be sure neither your premade nor pb is on hold or taken.

3. If you are applying for a sibling/spouse of a character already in the game, it is highly recommended you read that character's bio. That way, you can make sure that the history you're writing doesn't conflict with theirs.

4. Previous roleplay experience is not required, but if you would like to link us to a reference, you can do so in the 'notes' category at the bottom of the application.

We will give you reasons for why we couldn't accept you to the community at this time. But don't lose hope! Take your application back, tinker with it, rewrite it, do whatever you need to do to improve, and feel free to apply again after you've waited one week to give someone else a chance.

Personality: (Talk about the character's likes, dislikes, and fears. Discuss their favorite possessions, their habits and quirks, their physical mannerisms. Are they selfish? Naive? How do they speak? Do they act differently around some people rather than others, or are they all one note? Who are their favorite people? Do they have any friends? Don't be afraid to go into detail--there is no such thing as too long. Must be at least two paragraphs.)

History: (Exactly what it sounds like. Give as detailed a description as you can of your character's background. This is where you really get to shine. Take the premade you've been given and spin it into a life. Where were they born? Who were their parents? What was their childhood like? Did they have a difficult time growing up? Go into as much detail as you can, and don't be afraid to wax a bit long! Must be at least three paragraphs, preferably longer.)

Future Plans: (This is your place to discuss what you'd like to see your character doing in the community. How will they be spending their days and nights? If there's someone they're interested in, do you see them pursuing that person? Are they deviating from their premade in any significant way?)

Transformation: (Monthly transformation to your character's fable form is an integral part of the group plots at Bellum Letale. Let us know what changes your character will undergo when they 'become' their tale. Note: Changes can be physical, emotional, mental, memory based or all of the above, but everyone must experience some change during transformation.)

Ability/Powers: (What sort of powers your fable will eventually develop. Check out the faq for some ideas of what we're looking for. This is required for every character, and your character's ability should relate to their tale.)

Examples;

First Person Community Example: (Please give an example of at least one paragraph of a community post your character might make. Remember that the community is like any other community on LJ, just people posting on the internet to talk to one another, and thus should be in first person. Try to showcase their voice as much as you can.)

Third Person Log Example: (Please give a log example of at least four paragraphs in third-person format. Your character can be doing anything. This is your chance to really show us how your character lives and breathes in the world, and how you interpret them. If you make us laugh, cry, or otherwise get a rise out of us, extra brownie points to you.)
