	Daniel almost forgot his cell phone, but apparently when it began to ring, he remembered its existence, and the fact that he must have left it plugged in somewhere in the weeks before. "Vlad?" he sounds surprised to hear that anyone would want to contact him, and Vlad's name is in his contact list. (Reply to this) (Thread)

"So you saw what happened to the building, then. It was quite the spectacle." He pauses, although it's fairly evident that he's holding back from immediately firing a barrage of questions stemming from the fact that he's taking a train. "I have, yes. We are staying in a hotel for now, but then... we were thinking of doing some traveling for a while." He doesn't bother trying to hide his pleasure. "Where are you planning on going now?"

"It was burning," Daniel said, needlessly. He thought briefly of the things that were gone, things that could not moved along with his furniture. The trees gone brown on the balcony. The scratches in the walls. The smell of Ella.

"Away," he said, belatedly. "I'm going away. My parents were planning on dropping by and if they see me they'll stick me in a hospital somewhere." He's serious, even without his bitter humor.

"I know." He sighed, and for a moment low barking can be heard in the background, followed by a soft voice that seems to coax silence. There isn't much else to say about a burning building, so he leaves the topic alone.

"I can see why you would want to avoid that." Even if part of him thinks a brief hospital stay might actually be for the best. "So you have no specific destination in mind?" Will you be okay is what he really wants to ask, but doesn't. Not yet.

	"No. I just want to get away." He pauses, and there's a sound of exhalation as he sits down. The background of passing voices and a disembodied female announcing trains is audible, but barely. 	"I see." It isn't difficult to discern from his tone that he's a little less than content with the lack of specifics. The pause on Vlad's end is long, and his exhale of breath is almost too quiet to be heard. "Do you still think that now? I know you are entitled to your freedom, but... are you going to be alright?"
