Vlad didn't find the cookies until later in the day, exhausted yet unwilling - and unable - to relax long enough to actually get any sleep. Cain and Abel kept pawing at the door, and he'd gotten tired of hearing them whine so he opened the damn thing to let them out when they made a beeline for the plate and started sniffing at it. He nudged them inside, picking it up and bringing it inside with weary curiosity.
He read the note, noticing the shaky writing, and when he was finished reading he laughed. It was tired-sounding and not entirely sane, but it was also quiet enough to keep Helena from hearing.
It didn't take very long to figure out who it was from, after a quick sweep of the forums revealed a Sherri Salvage - sister of one Joss Salvage. Their room numbers were mentioned in the message he'd received, but at the moment he was of the mindset that Dracula could go to hell for all he cared. He wasn't going to hurt the girl who'd left the cookies, and as annoying as her sister was, he wouldn't do anything to her either. If the vampire wanted them dead, then he could do it himself.
