Driving like this was perfect, was brilliant, was wonderful. Sirius shouted a few times, just for the joy of it. The speed whipped his voice, tearing his words right out of his mouth. Sirius licked his lips once or twice, but generally he drove, a bit over the speed limit, in one direction. There were occasional curves, and they passed a few muggle cars. Sirius actually was paying better attention to where they were and those around them than most gave him credit for.
Glancing around one last time in his mirrors, Sirius hit one of the buttons he had freshly added. A disillusionment fell over the entire vehicle, including the riders. Honestly, there had been a reason to wear the helmets. And with that, Sirius sped toward an upcoming rise and continued up even as they reached the top of the hill. That was when he truly sped up. In the air, there was nothing for them to hit, and he doubled their speed again, leaning down a little farther. But it wasn't for too long. Finding an empty bit of grass, a meadow or something, Sirius slowed and brought them down remarkably smoothly.
Pulling off the helmet, Sirius made the bike visible again and whooped once again out of pure joy.
