Sirius wasn't vicious or spiteful when it came to his friends. Sure, no one he trusted was given any amount of rope, free line. But then they also didn't really matter to him to stay on best of terms. So if anyone did something deserving...something, he didn't really forget.
But it was Remus. And no, it wasn't easy. Sirius wasn't letting him get a free pass. But it wasn't like...like Sirius wanted to let it end, to push Remus away, for saying some stupid shit and acting like a selfish bastard. If that were the standard, Sirius knew he would have been tossed out years ago from being friends.
That was a bit better. Sirius listened. And there was a real apology, for all of it, without any excuses or bullshit. And that was what an apology was. Still, Sirius chose to wait just a moment or too longer before replying, just for that uncomfortable waiting of a few moments longer Remus deserved. "Okay," Sirius stated, simply. He hadn't planned on going anywhere, and he wasn't.
