Alice closed her eyes, letting out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding for hours, and leaned against Frank once she'd confirmed he was actually him. What a night it had been. They'd rescued Remus, thankfully, but the damage was practically unquantifiable. Many of their numbers' identities had surely been given away, Marlene and Frank had been shot and Alice didn't even know exactly how much everyone had been physically hurt. It was a risk they'd all signed up to take, though, and Alice understood that better than most, considering that it was her job to take those very same risks on a daily basis.
Still, she wasn't heartless and Frank had had a house collapse on him. She'd been worried even if she'd had no reason to worry once they'd gotten to St. Mungo's. Her hands came up and curled into his hair as she shook her head and gave a small laugh, "I have no idea how you ranked higher than me in training, Frank Longbottom. Why don't you jump beneath a sinking ship next time, huh? That would certainly be exciting."
