Who: Frank and Alice What: dancing! When: Friday night [backdated] Where: a nice club. Warnings: naughtiness is entirely possible. Status: Threaded; incomplete
Life had not been incredibly easy lately. Of course, easy was not what Frank wanted his life to be; he would have chosen a different career path if that were the case. But it wasn't the kind of difficulty he'd prepared himself for. This was paranoia combined with idleness, which made his paranoia worse. Less and less assignments were actually coming through the Auror department now, and he half suspected that they would have had none at all if not for the suspicion that would have arisen from that. Dark wizards did not simply disappear, but they could gain enough power to prevent Aurors from hunting them.
As Alice had pointed out, though, this was the quiet for the storm. It was likely to get worse. Frank would have much preferred the storm to the quiet - after all, stressful situations were what he was made for, trained for - but he knew better than to wish it would hit. Whenever it came, it was sure to be terrible. And in the meantime, he would simply have to make the most of his idleness. Make sure that he didn't go terribly stir-crazy, and tonight he had succeeded for the moment.
Alice was the best kind of distraction, and the high-energy movement of dancing was welcome, as well. He'd chosen a salsa club for this particular evening, and it was just as well he wasn't attempting to compete with the dancers around them in terms of fancy tricks, because some of the glimpses of them he caught out of the corner of his eye were truly impressive. That only intrigued him, however; if he ended up taking up dancing as a regular hobby to work off some of his extra energy, perhaps he'd get to that point. For now, he was enjoying the way they moved together to the beat, which thrummed in his veins. That might also have been his heart, which had a habit of beating harder whenever Alice was this close to him.
"Alright," he said with a grin, glad that they were close enough for her to hear him over the music. "I will officially admit it. You have the best track record for astounding feats in dangerous shoes I have ever seen."
