Frank was aware of the boy when he arrived, though he gave no sign of it. He liked this cafe in particular for its wide windows towards the street: he could see people outside when he was standing in line, and it was easy to gauge the situation inside before entering. He smiled to himself as he noticed Sirius doing much the same thing, though he didn't glance over until he was actually joined in line.
"Afternoon," he said. "I was thinking, it might come out as a draw." He referenced the conversation they'd had regarding their mothers the night before, which only Sirius ought to understand. Of course it was possible his journal had been tampered with if he'd been impersonated, but it was a start. There were other questions, security questions, that he could ask when they were alone. "I fancy a ham sandwich, I think. What do you have a hankering for?"
