"Polly don' get a cracker," Lily laughed, dropping her arms from James' neck so that she could take his hand. She had always though that James was good-looking, but she had always been hesitant to admit that, even to herself, because she hadn't wanted to find anything redeeming about him before this summer. She was really glad it had all worked out, though, because it was exhausting to convince herself she wasn't attracted to him. "Ye ready to take to th' ship, matey?" By which, of course, she meant the restaurant. It was a lot more difficult than people expected to talk in pirate-speak.
