One of Adele's very favorite things about her brother was that she never seemed to see him in the same location. At least, if she didn't want to wait for him to come home, she usually had to travel. That was easy, though; he traveled so often that he could get her portkeys to visit him in almost no time at all. He was an exciting man, her brother, and she loved him dearly.
She hadn't intended to visit him today, but then Serafina had gotten her all excited about her future engagement and wedding, and it occurred to her that she hadn't spoken to her brother about the recent developments. He didn't know that she'd met Tewdric, that there were plans for an announcement dinner in progress. These were things that she could tell him in writing, but she much preferred to see him in person.
She was dressed for Sera's party when she arrived at the hotel where he was staying, because she tended to get caught up in talking to her brother, and didn't want to arrive unfashionably late for her best friend's party. The gift she'd chosen for her friend was in her purse, she'd double-checked. Heading for the hotel bar as he'd specified, she looked around, feeling slightly as though too much of her skin was showing. She normally didn't wear anything this... risque. She touched the hem of her dress and tugged at it slightly, and then spotted her brother, and grinned at him, heading in his direction. "Hello," she said, noting the brandy and the cigar. "Are you having fun, then?"
