It was silly, really, how James' grin could make the entire atmosphere around her seem lighter, better. She was beginning to wonder if it hadn't just been he who had grown up, but her, as well. If this had happened between them two years ago, she was pretty sure it would not have lasted, both of them had needed to get to this point, that was something she felt was certain. And here was good, here was very, very good. She wanted to thank him for sticking around for her but she was distracted by the nip of her lip. Hm, that felt good and she was now completely focused on him again.
"Good. Healer Lily says take an indefinite number of these," she said, breaking off her sentence to kiss him again, the slightest bit harder than she had before and then continued, "and then Owl her in the morning. Think you can handle that prescription?" She grinned and wrapped her arms around him, pulling herself to him as she kissed him again, fingers curling into his back just below his clothed shoulder blades.
She was definitely, definitely not going to get bored with this. She doubted she would ever forget their first kiss, but it seemed to pale in comparison to every kiss thereafter. Maybe it had to do with each one getting better as they got used to snogging each other, or maybe it had to do with her growing feelings for James, the difference between which was conveyed in each kiss she freely gave him.
