Re: Ninety minutes later
Charlie grinned. Good, he thought as Asher laughed. "Glad you like the wager," Charlie said aloud. "Or don't you bet on a sure thing?"
Charlie nodded. "Any job is hard at times, but at least you knew what you wanted to be from the get-go. Me? I think I wanted to be a Murtlap farmer at one point, to my mother's horror. I went through a whole gamut of job choices before my sixth year when I knew I wanted to work with dragons."
Charlie raised his refilled cup. "May they learn to appreciate more refined coffee soon." He drank to the toast and glanced at the timepiece on his arm. "I'd really like to stay and chat more, but I have to get back to reserve and let old man MacFusty know what happened at the meeting this morning."
He took out a scrap of parchment and pulled a quill from the pocket of his robes. "I'll owl you with the details by Monday, OK?" As he wrote down the note to himself, he realized that it might look like a Weasley trait. "I think I need to invest in that calendar or at least a better note book..." He grinned. "As far as I know Ginny didn't get this habit from me."
