Re: Ninety minutes later
Asher chuckled appreciatively. "Yes, that would be nice... but I hear calendars work just as well," he said dryly, managing to tease him just a little. "There's even magical ones..."
His expression bordered on a smirk. "Perhaps I will," he said. Penny would always be glad for business, he thought, and perhaps she'd give him an extra discount at some point.
He was surprised by how well he was getting along--he wasn't making a complete fool of himself, either that or Charlie just disregarded it--and he found himself wanting to see if this could grow into a friendship. He had very few if any real male friends, and seemed to have trouble making friends regardless of gender. A character flaw, he thought.
"W-what we do for money," he said, rolling his eyes slightly. He actually did like his job, though. And his animals at home.
"One more, and then I do have to go," he said with a sigh. He'd probably get another in a to-go mug, just so he wouldn't have to suffer through the rest of the day. Yes, he was a coffee addict--no, he wouldn't apologize. Apparently Charlie liked it rather well too, though.
