"It wasn't an easy time for many people." Charlie knew that a lot of people had had their world shaken and turned upside down.
He chuckled. "Our family are blood traitors, haven't you heard? Marrying one of us is not a step up in society," Charlie said, a little mockingly. "Not that it stops my mum," he added. He smiled at Asher. "But you have my sympathies," he said softly.
Charlie grinned. "I've done my fair share of pub crawling and frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of it." He nodded. "I'll go check out that shop sometime, hopefully she has some books I can use in my hobby."
Charlie looked philosophical. "Well, we can try and have everything can't we?" He caught Asher's look at the cup and smiled. "Another cup will be great right now," he said to the waitress and ordered a mug of filter coffee as well.
"What's on your agenda for the rest of the day?" Charlie asked.
