Alicia drew a breath of relief when the elder Wood relinquished his hold on the vase and seemingly backed down, just as the ruckus behind her faded out. Her breathing was still hard when she managed to get the vase out of Andrew’s hand, and slowly, she let it come down to hang by her side. Now all they had to do, was get inside Fiona’s room, and all would be good – or at least as good as it could be under the circumstances – she just had to get Oliver inside too.
Turning around to look for him, the sight that greeted her instantly had her anger flare up. There, out by the wall, was Oliver, held at wand point by a security wizard, but what really caught her eyes were the bruises and scrapes on Oliver’s jaw. In her mind, there was really only one reason for them to be there, and that reason currently had his wand jammed up against Oliver’s chin. Tightening her hold on the vase, Alicia immediately charged forward with a low growl, all thoughts of reporters and reputation abandoned.
“You bloody idiot!” she snarled as she lowered her head and focused solely on the two men in front of her, not certain which one of them she wanted to pound on the most; the security wizard for hurting Oliver or Oliver for having gotten himself into trouble like this.
More profanities were on the tip of her tongue, when a strong arm wrapped around her waist from behind and she found herself incapable of moving. “Lemme go!” she barked and fought against the hold until an all too calm voice appeared next to her ear; “They're nae worth it, min'? Oliver needs ye haur, an' ye willnae be if ye dae thes, reit?” Despite the burr she remembered the words all too well, after all it had only been a couple of moments since she had said them to Andrew.
With a nod Alicia lowered the vase and set it calmly down on the floor before she approached Oliver and the guard slowly. Reaching out she took Oliver’s hand and gave it a slight squeeze before she looked up at the other man. “Please,” she asked of him, “he won’t do anything, it was those reporters and they…” she stopped as she realized what she was saying, her eyes narrowing the more she thought about it. “It was those reporters who shouldn’t have been in here in the first place.” The anger that was beginning to bubble again was now recognizable in her voice. “So if you had done your job to begin with, this wouldn’t have happened…”
