That brought a warm smile out on Alicia’s lips. For him to be going through this, and still remembering his manners? He really was a lovely kid, one that was slowly but surely creeping into her heart.
“Of course you can,” she let him know, and stood back up straight, though not before affectionately having smoothed his hair back out of his forehead. Hot chocolate she could give him without even having to try, and so Angus should have as much hot chocolate as he possibly could. And anything else he wanted, for that matter. In Alicia’s mind, this was just a starting off point. Hopefully, Oliver would be back soon, and he would better be able to give the boy what he truly needed.
Not long after, they were sitting by one of the tables, each with their own cup of hot chocolate in front of them, as well as a few other things that had captured Angus’ attention in the cafeteria. “Angus…” she started slightly hesitant, not entirely certain how to let the boy know what was on her mind right now. “If there is anything, and I do mean anything at all, will you let either me or Oliver know? Even if it’s something you want to know or simply that you want some sweets.”
