Oliver's eyes flickered to Alicia and for a moment he was torn between deep gratitude (why hadn't he thought of this obviously good solution?) and slight annoyance at himself. He needed to pull himself together if he wanted this to work. And Merlin knew, this would work.
Oliver squeezed Alicia's and regretfully let go. Leaning on her was fine. Using her as a crutch was not. He nodded decisively and finally snapped back into his infamous Quidditch Captain mode. "Sounds good to me. Angus, why don't you two go and see if you can find waffles somewhere while I have my fun with the paperwork?"
He gave both of them a confident smile, relieved to find that now that he had pulled himself together things were going along more smoothly. Being able to talk freely to Newquist would give him the opportunity to ask a few unpleasant questions.
Oliver smiled in grin determination. Let's face this.
