“My pleasure, lover,” Alicia smiled back at Oliver when he thanked her. It was so tempting to just lean in and get lost in kissing him again. Maybe then they could just stay like that forever and nothing would ever be wrong with the world again. She got as far as leaning in for that world changing blow when the smell of the paste had her stop. Alright, maybe changing the world could wait until that paste was gone.
Instead she sent him a smile as she took his hand, and pulled him up to stand, and they began their way down the corridor. As they walked she kept a tight hold on his hand as the other was occupied with stuffing the small jar of paste into her bag. In there, her fingers came into contact with… huh, well, why hadn’t she thought of that before. Without saying a word, she pulled out the small pouch of baby wipes that she had apparently forgotten to take out of her bag before leaving for the hospital. They were worth their weight in gold whenever Aidan had gotten his fingers into something nasty, or they were out amongst Muggles and he needed a nappy change.
“Animal fart was never your scent,” she said casually and handed him the wipes without looking at him, though keeping one to wipe her own fingers clean on. “I prefer the cologne you usually wear.”
