Parvati reached out and stroked Lavender's hair back. "Maybe she doesn't realize how hard that is for you," she said, trying to be diplomatic. "Have you ever had a real serious talk with her?" She had to laugh at Lavender's next question though. "I'm not entirely sure Percy values creativity, though if you tidied up after yourself you might get points for neatness."
She rolled her eyes at her friend, straightening her coat and securing her bag to her shoulder. "I won't even bother responding to that, darling," she said, linking their arms once more. It made her so happy to be shopping with her best friend.
"Oh, and we simply must find new outfits for New Year's. You are going to the Alexander, aren't you? I'm already going to be dragging Padma along, don't make me have to drag you as well," she said as she led the way into the first store that promised to have a good selection of shoes.
