Michael grinned. "Oh, I still have the jeans. They come out the minute I'm home from work," he answered. He didn't notice that Cho was having problems looking at him, but then Michael didn't know too much about traditional Chinese customs. What he did know was that Cho looked very. . . formal. She had always dressed well, so perhaps he'd just forgotten. It had been a long time since he'd seen her, after all.
When Cho asked what he'd been doing, Michael grinned. That was the invitation to talk, and Michael rarely, if ever, passed that up. "Well," he began, "I'm currently a clerk in the International Magical Law Office at the Ministry. I've been there since leaving Hogwarts." He quickly tucked a stray strand of hair behind his ear before continuing. "I'm hoping to become a lawyer at some point, but for now, I'm happy where I am. I'm living on the same island in the Channel where dad does. I have a townhouse near the ocean, but not on the beach. And I now have a dog, too."
Hadn't Cho been away? Michael couldn't remember where, but he thought she'd left England for at least a while. "What about you?" he asked curiously. Something still seemed a little off to Michael, but he wasn't sure what it was. It was worrying him, though.
