Alicia had just put down her book and turned off the light, ready for sleep, when her Owl arrived back. Letting it inside, she got the note from it, and decided that Cass would just have to wait until tomorrow with an answer to that.
She looked at the Owl, and could have sworn that the fowl nodded in agreement to that decision. With a small smirk, she opened the window again, and let her out so she could do some hunting for the night. “But I need you in the morning, missy,” she let it know, and closed the window behind her.
Next morning, when Alicia woke, the Owl was perched outside the window, waiting patiently to be let back in.
Quickly she scribbled a reply, and sent it off; it would be a long day today, and Aidan was already awake – she could hear him babbling to himself in the bed.
