"Well, if you are volunteering," Miles said, holding up his hands and putting his wrists together. "You know I would never turn down a bit of adventure, no matter how many times you turned me down before." He laughed again, decidedly a bit more deviant. There had been nights on rounds where he had thought of her like that, but the truth was that she was one that he had never pushed that envelope too far with. She was too close to him and he wasn't willing to hurt her in what would be the eventual end. The fact that he wasn't faithful to anyone did not help, at least he didn't think he had that potential.
If the truth be told, he wasn't sure who owned the place. It was one of the drawbacks of his unorganized memory. He filed it away for future reference though, promising himself that he wouldn't forget again. "I am terrible at keeping track of things, remember? But I do know that you do look good in the sapphires." He wasn't going to deny that and he did need to include her in his Christmas list. "And what will you be getting me?"
