"Let's see the money, then," Bill said teasingly, rubbing his fingers together in the universal sign of money. He jostled Charlie's elbow, though, enjoying the joking banter that they shared despite the seriousness of their conversations at time.
"There is that," Bill said. "I just like to nudge you all every now and then." To be honest, he couldn't help it. It probably came from interfering in arguments and everything when they were all younger. "Spur you to action." Okay, so half joking there.
"Evil man," Bill muttered. "Evil, evil man." But he also knew his brother would be there when he felt like pulling his hair out. There would be I told you sos, he expected, but also sympathy.
He sighed gustily. "You have no idea," Bill said. "That article... just teenagers. She's not as grown up as she'd like to think she is, and it's driving me nuts. I'd lock her in her bloody room sometimes if I could." He loved Gabi, he really did, which was why it upset him that things weren't always going well. He just didn't know what to do for her.
