Charlie sighed. "Patience sometimes wears thin," he said. "I've been putting her off for twelve years," he said with a bit of asperity. "I nearly told her to back off at the Ministry party," he confessed.
Charlie leaned into his brother for a moment for comfort, not that they are very physical in personal displays. "I know, but sometimes I just wonder if it will ever happen." He sighed. "Don't mind me, its just that time of year, you know."
Charlie smiled. "I'll be glad to take second place to Mum in this news," he said lightly. "I'm sure she'll be fine, you were when I came along," he said. "At least I hope you were," Charlie joked.
"Its just dinner," Charlie protested. "I'll tell you if and when I think there is something to tell you," he said.
