"I understand," Severus tells him, with a hint in his tone that the information has been received and absorbed and any further stressing of it will lead rapidly to its value being drowned out by impatience. "It's not a matter of speaking to the trees but of observing the properties of their woods and of the effects both of their wood and of their living presence on," he pauses, looking a bit lost for words, "the natural magics which affect life."

My apartment was so hot Monday night, despite it being about 8° outside, that I had to turn the AC on and couldn't get to sleep until morning. Oddly enough, although by my reckoning this right now is effectively 8pm for me, this craziness may actually be a step back towards a diurnal schedule. @.@ Hm... if I don't get to the other threads immediately, it's because I will have decided a nap would help more than hurt this process.
