"It may take some time of course. I'm not fool enough to run right out and get some tomorrow."
"It didn't matter," Rus tells him. "What they could do was bad enough."
"You hunt tigers for the same reason," his eyes narrow. "Stalking the ultimate prey. Kill or be killed. It's...invigorating." He gives a little sigh of pleasure. "Well naturally," Rus snorts. "What did you expect?"
"Which, last I recall, you refused to cater to the whims of." Rus tells him blandly.
"Not like a ghost," he explains. "More something seen out of the corner of the eye that vanishes when you look at it directly." He shakes his head. "They want us to go back to them. And if we don't, they might send someone after us." Rus shrugs. "Certainly. Any sort of game is fine. Where is this place you were talking about?" He slings his jacket over his shoulder. Rus is mostly indifferent to the weather.
It's next to the chiming sundial isn't it? That actually sounds pretty comfy. Do they make them in human size? ;) I like his YA stuff, but his regular novels not so much. *rolls eyes* Some people need to be locked in a room with Rus and a dragon. I'll work on it; I need to look at the list of ingredients. *makes note for next trip to Wal-Mart*
