Severus looks, for a moment, as though he might pitch a fit, and then says (brightly, for him), "Not bad, but it'll need polish before you take it to a stand-up comedy stage." He shrugs, "She believes enthusiastically in things that probably don't exist. It a useful quality in a researcher, but only once tamed."
"Bullies aren't interested in difficult targets," is Severus's point. "The whole point is that they needn't put themselves out to provoke a reaction."
"But I'm over it now," Severus informs him, a touch smugly, as he takes the darts. "That's impulse control." He nods at the report, and drinks from his topped-up glass to give Rus's story verisimilitude, after which he rolls his shoulders to loosen them. As a warm-up, he throws a round apple into the dartboard, every dart of the fruit just on the border of the 25-point zone, complete with stem and a tight little leaf.
I'm having enough trouble writing for my actual fandoms. :\ I tend to like the blue, green, and purple pieces in any given game, but in Ms. Kahn's memory I'll take Miss White when I can. ^,^ Ahh. Okay, he was fun. One could have too much of him, mind. Severus says it would have been okay by him if the plot of the book had been destroyed... but three is fine. ;)
