Severus gives him a look which communicates that a) Rodolphus may be speaking Greek, or possibly Aramaic, and b) Rodolphus is encouraging Severus to want to learn neither Greek nor Aramaic. "Quite sure," he smiles. "Her worst flaw, which is demonstrably hereditary, is a willingness to be persuaded by a complete lack of evidence."
"...Why not," Severus decides, and does as well.
"Why would they have bothered you?" Severus inquires, raising an eyebrow. "They were bullies." And therefore unlikely to attack obvious strength. "Which raises the question of why you hated him so much," he adds. "It's not as though he did anything interesting in his entire life."
"Tell me," Severus inquires, vastly entertained, "is there something in your diet to increase production of optimism?"
CLUUUUUUE. Nah, Clue repeats itself often enough, although with variations, that one can remember. Or maybe I've just seen it too often. :D Gene Roddenberry and psuedo-sociology FTW, yo. u.u Although I will say that translating a Kurosawa movie into a Western format--complete with a cowboy-type character, of all things-- was an absolutely beautiful (and hilarious) tribute. I have missed that! He was a few years ahead of them, as I recall. I think it may have been as many as five, but I prefer to fudge it lower because why would Sev and Rus know each other at all if Rus graduated in Sev's second year?
