"We started this conversation," Severus reminds him, "with your telling me I should find something to do just for fun."
"Wasn't that the point?" he inquires, wide-eyed.
Quizzically, "I think I'd worry more about soup at the Hog's Head, if that's what you mean, than nearly anywhere else. Although it really must be said that the place is not Knockturn, and I'm not sure as high a percentage of its patrons share your tastes as you think."
"Yes," he says, shrugging. "We were establishing me as mean when not drunk, weren't we? Doubtless he'll try to take advantage once he thinks I am, which should be entertaining. Still, I suppose you'd better call me," his lips tighten, "Seth while we're here, to minimize long-term annoyance."
Severus has been finishing his glass during all this, and now puts a mellow hand on Rus's arm, saying with every evidence of being in earnest, "Now, Rus, don't break the nice man's board." It takes everything he has not to slide into an evil grin and purr out a yet.
Sankyuu! Pass! Ooooh, awesome! Me too. :( Well, it didn't, and actually the ending was the worst, because many of the people who'd been jerks throughout had good outcomes, and the people who'd been either genuinely nice or trying to be good people got put through hell. (is cranky)
