"Chocolate is just one of my weaknesses," Rus reminds Severus. "You should remember. No candy in the common room was safe from me."
"I don't know why," though he's touched by what he's told. "It's not as if we didn't have house elves you know."
"Bloody savages," he mutters. "Serve them right if there was a hex on the place. Rus looks profoundly sceptical. "If you say so Veris," he almost leers. "But once a bat, always a bat."
Rodolpus resists the urge to go pound Sev on the back. Hard. His eyes narrow. "Yes it was. I like plumes. They're dashing. And the hat fitted me perfectly."
"So have I," Rus points out with an evil grin.
"That's what it's all about isn't it?" Rus doesn't really care if he's overheard. "The terror?" He drums his fingers on the table. "I can certainly manage that," he nods. "I'll leave as soon as we're done." The waiter comes back at this point with dessert. He serves Severus first and then sets a medium-sized platter in front to Rus. It's difficult to tell where the plate is under all that chocolate. Rus' eyes light up at the sight.
And might I point out that the polyjuice fits right in with the topic as well. Rod strikes again!
