He nods, careful to keep the didn't-I-just-say-that expression out of even his eyes. "Aa, I have. It's something I've wondered about."
"Ahnnnh, well..." He scratches at his cheek looking rueful. "Mine, to some extent, unfortunately, and..." He looks around. "Ah, Cesare-kun isn't in here today. He's someone who's lived as yours but was infected with probably one of Maou-dono's minions before he was born."
He nods. "Yes, I've wondered about that, too. On the for side: they are very random in their natures, and since this is before Senma Sensou, my information about Her patterns at this time is limited. On the against side: interfering so directly is very unlike my experience of Her, and they're very regular in... their..."
He trails off, stares at Gaav for a moment with a completely blank expression, places both palms carefully on the table, and suddenly slams his forehead against it so hard that blood flies up to land on Gaav's glass. "Timing," he finishes, in a dead voice, without raising his head. "Every month. And Kaiou-dono can look like who she wants to even on the astral plane and isn't insane yet. And everyone new shows up on the beach or in the ocean. All this happens in a port with a naval base whose waters are invariably calm and inviting, which is washed over by tourists every year in an annual tide. Kill me; I'm useless."
Sorry. :p Gaav wanted to be briefed and Xel only had a handful of threads to catch him up on; nothing unified. He's not usually this quite this voluble unless he's acting as a priest (although with my other character in a previous game there was one conversation I had to print out the comments to keep up with all the threads), but Gaav did ask for what amounted to an info-dump.
For the record, though, it's fine to respond in a list. :) Dialogue rules get bent a bit for comment-space.
