Q listens intently, still rather pale. "So," he ventures, licking his lips. "The real stone is a sort of Holy Grail? And the, well, the not-real stone is just a sort of echo of it? Even though it can do what it's reputed to do?"
Q gives Severus a faintly puzzled look and nods. "I don't know," he admits. "I was far too excited to check after I left. Anyway, this man pops up with a huge welcoming smile. Rather short he was and he was wearing carpet slippers!" Q shakes his head. "Then he said, no he told me he had just what I was looking for. I asked him how he knew that when he didn't even know me. He just smiled and pulled that book out from under the counter. 'It told me you were coming.'" Q said. "Can you believe that?! He gives a little laugh.
