"Well, it was supposed to be frightening and it did frighten me, so in that respect, it was good," Q explains. "So are a lot of the books I read."
"Right, right," he waves a hand, still pacing. "Thought so. No deleterious effect worth noting...," he trails off, muttering incoherently.
"Not to mention the nuclear jelly," Q mentions. "Though that was Reg's doing. No, I thought it was more of a...well, more of a cleansing ritual than a full-on purification. Like driving out a fractious spirit or asking a blessing." Q raises an eyebrow. "Man was mad as a spoon," he mutters. "That could have a great deal to do with what goes on here then. But I still don't know why!" He rubs his forehead in frustration.
"Sorry Severus," Q says contritely. "No offense intended. And it did indeed occur to me that using that method would be very effective." His grin is not really very nice this time. He looks around the room. "He's been here hasn't he? Black I mean? And there was a full moon last night right?"
Right on! He'll get there eventually. Somewhere anyway. ;)
