It must have JUST dropped to a cat 2, because I swear the last time I looked up it was still cat 3! Nice to see that it's lower though. The winds are around 105 to 115, from what I'm hearing so far. Flood waters are topping the industrial canals, but none have broken so far. Seems that at the very least, improved building techniques after Katrina has reduced damage to homes somewhat.
