His work wasn't too difficult. At the very least it wasn't manual labor which was something Bowie had done in the past. His resume consisted of a lot of heavy lifting and mindless jobs. The shop was a nice place, clean and the costumers were always nice. Bowie hadn't had a single bad experience working for Harri and he hoped to keep it that way. So far Bowie had been trying to save all of his money, it was habit, he'd never been accustom to staying in one place too long. Without much thought he kept all his money hidden as if though it was at risk of being stolen. It wasn't like Mina or Finn needed the few bucks he had left but it was his mindset, his upbringing which taught him to be careful with his possessions. That wasn't to say that he wasn't learning how to trust Finn, he just hadn't learned to break all of his customs. After a nice long day at work Bowie got to the house and went straight upstairs to change out of his work clothes. He dragged his feet a bit, he was tired and just wanted to plop down on his bed but when he got to his room he found something that would completely turn his mood around.
Stepping into his room Bowie stopped short and cocked his head. Raising a brow it took him a moment to register what was sitting on his bed. Rushing over to the puppy Bowie immediately started yelling, "Finn! A puppy, Finn! A puppy!" It wasn't like Bowie needed a puppy, what he needed was clothes and shoes but he didn't care much when such a cute fury face was licking his cheeks. Carrying the puppy in his arms he hugged it, Bowie had never had a pet before. This meant new responsibilities but Bowie didn't care, the dog was adorable. Petting it furiously Bowie was all but hyperventilation. He'd only just mentioned the desire to get a puppy with Finn just the other day and now he had one. With Finn's track record Bowie was about to ask for a BMW next.
Surely having a puppy together was one of those couple things people liked to do but Bow didn't read into it. The truth was that this was a way to tie him down to Finn, just like a real child. A puppy was something permanent, something that would make walking away from New Orleans much harder. He didn't think about those things yet, though he did often wonder what the hell he and Finn were getting at with the way the demon had taken to spoiling him and the one time they'd had sex. He was confused but content and ecstatic about his new gift.
