Two lovers part.....
Original poster: saint_uto
Title:Empty You Out
Summary:The Joker believes any type of love is possible. But sometimes, it just doesn't work out that right.
Pairing:The Joker/Bruce Wayne
Rating:T
Disclaimer:I just saw a flying pig the other day, so yeah, I DON"T own Batman.
A/N:Um....really don't know what happened with this one.
In the mind of The Joker-a place where most thoughts tend to over lap each other, swirling together until it becomes one and a person cannot tell where one ends and another begins- The Joker wonders. He wonders how Batsy eyes are just like sweet honey, shinning though even the darkest night of Gotham, when all but justice has fallen asleep.
The clown wonders how his eyes are able to be like that, because in all honestly, even though Batsy does have eyes of a hopeful child waiting for the sun to come up, they really are quite dead inside, the light inside of them that flickered off long before The Joker even got to him.
It must be the hope that shimmers off the windows of the buildings late at twilight, where everything is still and quiet and The Joker wonders if he is still in Gotham. It makes the clown ponder across his white cell, where his thoughts are able to reach past the padded walls and corrupt the other wonderful people of Arkham, as silly as they are.
The Joker wonders when the hope will finally empty out and he will be able to see Batsy for who he truly is, someone that is lost in this world, someone who rules have all but left them, leaving forever until a smile is cut across their face.
The Joker doesn't think it's his fault, not at all. Yes, perhaps he did push the bat a little too hard over the edge, but still, even a normal person would be able to handle his antics, wouldn't they?
The Joker doesn't feel guilty, not at all. He has taken many peoples hopes and dreams and turned it against them, letting the desires that were so pent up within such small bodies be released and claw their way out of the bloodied bodies. He has taken the love of two soul tied together and sliced it in two, creating a creature that not even God would accept in his kingdom.
But when he sees the eyes of his bat, fading in and out of life, flickering here and there, he realize that what he did to the bat, how he took everything away from him so he could keep him for himself, he knows that he is the one that took the bats hope.
Even when The Joker goes into the white marble room of Batsy and watches him sleep, he can still see the light reflected on his skin, in the form of tears. The Joker knows that some nights his Bat is awake and knows that the clown is there, he still ignores him, not wanting to acknowledge the horror that sits so comfortable on the edge of the black sheets.
Even as The Jokers hold the bat in his arms at night, trying to search for anything to tell him that the bat he knows is still there, he knows full well that it is gone, the love that was once there.
Even as The Joker tells Batman that he loves him, he is letting go, because he loves the man.
He had.
