Who: Liz and OPEN
When: Sunday, around 10PM
Where: The Old Talbott Tavern
What: Having a few drinks, trying to mellow out? Not sure yet!
Liz had remanded at band rehearsal a little later than usual, being that she had the day off along with tomorrow and so she spent as much time as possible practicing the new song that had been written a few days ago. She also, as usual, took the extra time to learn the guitarist’s parts, since it really never hurt; and thus was mostly the reason for her late evening of practice. Her room mate and best friend Kali had left earlier in the evening, heading home to sleep for her equally early day of work. And so Liz decided that a stop at the Tavern wouldn’t hurt and it would give her the appropriate time to mellow out, since usually she was so energized after an all nighter.
The girl had taken to a table along the wall in the quieter part of the room. It wasn’t that she really expected a whole lot of other customers to wander in. But she usually sat out of the way when she came to drink alone, so that she wouldn’t really be bothered by others besides the ordering of her drinks. This was because a majority of the town, mostly those of her father’s friends and co-works, or those older than him that know her father or know of him; they think she’s trouble and often make their opinions clearly known, whether in comments directly to her or to others in a very loud apparent manner.
Since in a small town that was expected, it’s how things work; folk know your business even if it’s some twisted version that your father has told them and was passed along, so since she never appreciates the snide comments or glares shown to her, she chooses to avoid such things whenever possible; because she’s really not the sort to sit without commenting back and doesn’t tolerate it for very long before doing so. She’s very blunt and in your face about things, which causes trouble most the time and that’s not really what she’s wants, ever, to cause trouble, although people usually don’t realize this, Since it’s not that apparent when you consider her history of public fights and bad behavior, though that being wrongfully viewed in her personal option.
She was on her second drink, and had her iPod sitting on the table pumping music full force into ears. She’d been tapping her feet to the beat, and going over things in her head. Which believable or not, helped mellow her down; she had a playlist of songs that started very loud bordering on metal, and with each song got more calmer and relaxing, and ended in classical tunes. It was an odd assortment of songs, but they fit her personality very nicely.
