Yes, Rebekah knew quite what Haley meant when she talked about men and breaking promises. One was never complete without the other, were they? It was a depressing way to look at the opposite sex, but Rebekah knew it was realistic, more of ,a protective mechanism to keep from hurting later on when, sadly, all of those predictions came true after all. Elijah had never been one of those kinds of men though. His word was his bond and unlike the majority of his family, he kept his word. His loyalty to those he deemed worthy enough to give it to meant everything to him. If he'd given it to Hayley, probably in regards to the baby and their protection, she highly doubted he'd go back on it or simply abandon them. It was more proof than ever that he was probably daggered by Klaus.
"Yes..." she trailed off, eyes falling to the hand on the girl's stomach. Klaus's child was within there, wasn't it? Him as a father was a frightening notion. "As much as I agree with you on the part of men leaving and breaking promises, Elijah has never been one of those. I assure you of that. His word is his bond. He is loyal and when he offers you protection, he doesn't just walk away. He's quite the opposite of Klaus," she finished quietly. "I'm pretty sure our darling Nik daggered my other brother and put him somewhere in this house." Since Hayley knew about everything already, there was no need for compulsion. If Elijah had been kind to her, as Rebekah believed, perhaps she'd help Rebekah find her brother.
"I guarantee Elijah is still here, just incapacitated with a dagger. Will you help me look for him?" Rebekah didn't just want to find Elijah, she wanted to find the entire set of daggers too that her half-brother possessed and used against the family frequently when he couldn't handle their irrational behavior, at least, in his eyes. "You might know the house better than me at this point. When we find him, we just have to pull out the dagger and he'll come back. Klaus has a bad habit of shutting his family up when he doesn't like what they say or do. Or if it will do him in somehow. He trusts no one, but I'm pretty sure you get that," she added with a brief smile. "I want to find the set of daggers too. If I have them, Klaus won't be able to stop Elijah or me anymore."
