Felicity was so glad to have Oliver back. She had been a little scared of going to the island, especially the part where she and Diggle had to jump out of a plane. She hadn’t liked that bit of it at all. But she knew they had to bring Oliver home. Starling City was a mess. She didn’t know what would happen if Oliver didn’t return. They’d spent months searching for him, and then they’d finally found him. She was relieved about that. And they had gotten him to return. And things got a little crazy of course, but it seemed like they were already improving. Walter was back, Oliver was back…sure Moira was still in jail, but things were looking up for the first time in a long time. They needed Oliver Queen, and the city needed The Hood, or whatever Oliver was going to call himself now. He didn’t want to be the Hood anymore, and Felicity could respect that. She didn’t know what name he’d choose yet, but she was sure he’d come up with something good. At least things had calmed down for a moment. She had made a lot of improvements while Oliver had been gone, and she was pretty proud of them. She just wanted to assist as best as she could. IT people could be highly underrated, and usually did a lot more than they got credit for. Felicity didn’t mind though, she was used to it. She was coming up out of the basement at Verdant, and it didn’t take her long to realize that she definitely was not where she was before. She was very confused, and had no idea what had just taken place. People didn’t walk into a completely different place from another in real life. They did that in dreams. Was Felicity dreaming? She felt a little dizzy and out of it, but she didn’t feel like it was a dream, really. And she looked down and saw she was holding a phone that was not the one she used at home. Something very weird was going on here, and the blonde IT girl didn’t know what to think. She didn’t know what this was, she didn’t know where she was. She started walking, looking around for anything that might be familiar, but there was nothing. “Hello?” She called. Was this some kind of prank? Was she losing it? Had she pulled one too many all-nighters and she was passed out in the club or something? This couldn’t possibly be happening for real, right? “Is anyone out there?” |
