Michael hadn't come back yet, and neither had Nikita. The rest of the group was sick of waiting on them. They wanted to give them their time and all, but they had a lot to discuss. Things were worse than ever now. Alex honestly didn't know how they'd get Nikita out of this trouble, but they weren't giving up. Nikita had left the room, and Michael had soon after...neither had come back yet. She didn't know what to do about that. None of them really did. It had been too long now, though. Neither had returned and that couldn't be good. Alex decided that she would go and see what was taking them so long. She hoped that she wouldn't be interrupting anything, but she knew it was possible that Nikita was gone. She might have left to try and keep all of them safe. It made sense. It was what Nikita did. Alex couldn't blame her for that. They were better as a team, though. She thought they all agreed. She opened the door and walked out. "Michael I--" She stopped short, she wasn't in the building anymore and Michael wasn't anywhere to be seen. She was standing in the street somewhere. What the hell was going on? She turned around a few times, looking about in wonder and confusion. Things like this didn't happen. Not for real. Was she dreaming? Was she in Amanda's chair? Where had the phone in her hand come from? It wasn't hers. Frantically she dialed Michael, it didn't connect. Then Birkhoff. Same thing. This wasn't possible. Alex just started walking, she didn't know where she was going, but she needed to get some answers. Something very strange was happening. It didn't take the girl long to figure out she was in New Orleans, she knew some of the landmarks. "What the hell?" She was beyond confused, but something told her that she needed to keep moving. She was injured, and she'd be a much easier target if there was anyone nasty out here right now. |
