Elijah was beyond pleased. He had known he could trust his brother, and he was thrilled that he had been right. He leaned forward before he could stop himself and planted a tender kiss to the top of her head. He was just so pleased she wasn't suffering anymore. He had hated that and he already made a promise to himself that Marcel would pay for that.
"Thank goodness" he answered in a sweeter tone, still holding her close against his chest, so that she wouldn't have to put any weight on her feet. After that stress she needed to rest as much as possible.
