Victoria had been described as many things over the years, a lot of it wasn't exactly pleasant. She didn't care though. Stubborn, aloof, bitch where the most common ones. They hurt but she was also good at ignoring them, showing that they didn't effect her. She knew that people were judging her on her surface personality, her public persona and not who she truly was. She had her friends and her work which she did well at. That was what mattered to her, not being popular and liked by everyone.
She wanted to do her work well and have that acknowledged.
It had been her attention to detail and ability to analyze information at the drop of the hat that allowed her entry into the SHIELD Academy of Communications even if she was working in the Accountant department. While she had joined her work as an accountant, she found the Academy to challenge herself in ways that her work wasn't and she thrived at it. She didn't make many friends, being a stickler for the rules as well as being so good in an area where everyone was good didn't help either. She had hoped it would but she wasn't surprised. She'd learned that people were fickle over the years and it was easier to keep yourself distant than to end up hurt in the long run.
As a Level Two combined with her accounting past, her task was to go over the spending of missions and balance and record them. Usually it was alright but sometimes, like now, Agents went overboard with their spending and she didn't know why. Grabbing the paper work, she made her way through the hallways of The Hub where the majority of operations worked out of. Asking for Agent Hartley she eventually found where she was.
"Agent Hartley? A word if I may," she asked simply as she approached the other woman.
