Michaela Boot should be much too smart for this. (perfectionist) wrote in backway,
"Do you really think we'll still be together in ten years?" she asked, whispering.
"Is there any reason we wouldn't be?"
Cho pulled back, shrugging a little. "Do you see yourself with me? I don't want to sign this if..."
"I don't want to be with anyone else," he told her, furrowing his brow. "And I want to be with you. Do you want to be with me?"
"Yeah," she said, dropping her gaze.
"Oh that's real convincing," he laughed, rolling his eyes at her. "You could at least pretend to sound more excited. A smile? Perhaps a snog? A sneak peak at crimble presents?"
Cho bit her lip. "What kind of a sneak peak?"
"Quick flash?" he asked hopefully, holding his forefinger and thumb an inch apart.
"That's real romantic," she said, picking up her quill again.
"Fine... you can just leave your jumper off in that case. Much more romantic," he assured her.
With a roll of her eyes, Cho turned to face him again, bringing her lips close to his again. "Two buttons."
Quinn glanced at her shirt. "Four," he bargained, holding his hand up and folding his thumb into his palm, bending closer so his lips brushed against hers.
"One."
"Five."
Cho laughed. "Five seconds," she said. "That's how long you have and however many..."
Before Cho had finished speaking, Quinn's guitar savvy fingers were at her buttons and pushing them out as quick as he could, fumbling at the last two and giving up in order to lean back and enjoy the view of her bra for his remaining second. "Brilliant, really brilliant. How can you not just sit there and play with them all the time?"
"Quinn!" she said, giggling in embarrassment. This was so not how she fantasized this happening. "You weren't supposed to get that far, and you were supposed to kiss me!"
"You gave me a time limit! I wasn't going to not take advantage of it," he declared, not taking his eyes off her opened shirt. "You know, the pink actually works here. But only as a bra colour."
Folding her arms across her chest, she said, "Pink works on other things."
Quinn looked up to give her a horrified look. "Choey! You're blocking the view!"
"You're ruining the moment!" she hissed, eying their surroundings again. "And I don't like to be stared at!"
